New Nordic Simplicity Meets Passionate Traditional Craftsmanship

Introducing Reef, our elegantly straightforward lounge chair that, despite its light and minimalist appearance, offers an incredibly refined seating experience.

The foundation of this masterpiece consists of an exquisitely crafted wooden frame, which cradles two slender, organic, and upholstered shells.

Reef is a harmonious and visually captivating chair that occupies less space than traditional recliners. This versatility allows Reef to find its place in an array of settings, be it in the home, office, or the lounge of a boutique hotel. The chair stands gracefully on its own as a centerpiece in any room, showcasing its impeccable frame. Yet, it also thrives in group settings, encouraging informal gatherings and shared moments.

Your personal touch will unlock the myriad expressions of Reef. Choose between frames in light, smoked, or black oak, and upholstered shells enveloped in one of our sumptuous furniture textiles.

Crafted with wood from responsible forestry

The Reef frame is made from FSC-certified wood. FSC is a global certification for responsible forestry, ensuring that the wood comes from well-managed forests with a focus on sustainability, nature, and people.

Nordic DNA

Scandinavian simplicity

Reef is a fine exponent of Danish design traditions and the simple Scandinavian design language that underpins the entire Kaerly furniture collection. The chair effortlessly fits into the Scandinavian-inspired home, where there is a focus on lightness, brightness, and air.

Designed in Denmark

Produced in Europe

Reef is designed in Denmark and meticulously handcrafted at a small, dedicated furniture workshop in Portugal, which produces a limited number of high-quality pieces for a select group of European brands. High-quality materials are used in production, ensuring you many years of comfort and durability.

Conscious Choices

Conscious fabric selection

Reef is available in a wide range of certified high-quality furniture fabrics designed for many years of use. Regardless of the fabric you choose, we guarantee that it is produced in Europe, ensuring responsibility and reduced transportation. At Kaerly, we have made a conscious choice not to offer animal leather. As an alternative, you can have your sofa upholstered in various types of high-quality vegan leather.

From Idea to Finished Product

A result of collaboration among passionate individuals
