Flor De Luz

Referencing the graphic forms of Mexican pop art and the vibrancy of nature in her homeland, Berenice Hernandez has created Flor De Luz (Light Flower). Two hand-painted flowers stretch up from black pots with an expression that is both curved yet bold – the strong orange flowers sitting against a neutral, yet textured canvas backdrop mixed with raw cotton fibers and glue. A colorful border in red, pink and green up-lifts the composition, creating an art print that is full of playful colours and forms.
